Be creative - get In the Box

We've always heard of the phrase - to be creative, think out of the box.

Cayden-boi felt otherwise.

Before you can think out of the box, you gotta be In The Box!

Cayden-boi climbed into the locker himself to see things "in another angle"
The guard at the Singapore Arts Museum (nope, we didn't go there for arts appreciation) was pretty amused coz I guess our little antic spiced up what would have been a boring day's work for him. He kept sneaking glances at what we were doing and finally could not resist taking out his hp to snap a few pics of Cayden-boi. Haha...

Hmm.. Mama was so tempted to slot in 2 gold coins, pulled the key, and go for a cuppa..
We spent a good 30 mins entertaining ourselves with baby getting in and out of the locker. Who says the museum is a boring place? You just gotta be creative! : )

Wonder if we'll be sued for "ill-treating" the lil one? But hey, this is not as bad as those Chinese acrobats folding themselves into tiny boxes right!? :p

West Coast Park

We wanted Cayden-boy to mix with more people and enjoy himself at the playground. One of the best place to achieve that with free parking is the West Coast Park.

Cayden-boy learning to use the fork
Cayden-boy didn't really succeed in getting any hot cakes with his fork. After several tries, he decided that it's much more convenient and easier to use his hands instead!

After the breakfast, it's exercise time!

Mama guided Cayden-boy through the balancing beam
We skipped the "pyramid" maze for now..
Notice the excitement on Cayden-boy's face.. He simply loves the slide!
Cayden-boy spinned the wheel and pretended that he's driving a car
Cayden-boy tried to look for mama and papa when we hid ourselves
Cayden-boy hated to set his feet on the sand when we brought him to the beach some time ago. He would yell and shrunk his feet away from the sand.

Mama tried introducing "sand" to Cayden-boy again
Mama learning to let go of her hands too

Papa:"Cayden-boy, what does a dog says..?" Cayden-boy:"woooo..f" came the reply
We tried letting Cayden-boy to mix and play with other kids, but it seemed that Cayden-boy was still not ready. He stood helplessly at the playground and searched around for us instead...

For now, we shall treasure these moments and shower our love for Cayden-boy. There is no hurry to get too independent anyway, isn't it ?

Breakfast at Jurong Bird Park

Mama had always wanted a breakfast with the birds. We failed to do so umpteen times simply because we failed to wake up early enough and thus missed the bird show timing.

Finally after the Nth attempt, we made it (albeit slightly late)! The show had already started and I quickly carried Cayden-boy to grab a "first row seat" even though that meant blocking some of the early birds (pun not intended!).
The emcee for the show hinted to me that the show was only intended for "patrons only". Well, I simply ignored those words and continued enjoying the show because mama had already gone to buy their very expensive breakfast for all of us.

Any literate with good eye sight would have caught these words... wouldn't they?

The Big American Breakfast offered by Bird Park
After the show had ended, I rushed forward and was the first to grab a shot with the parrot!

Cayden-boy folded his arms and kept an arm's length away from the parrot.

Parakeet getting ready to flaunt his skills at fortune telling

I volunteered to feed the mallards.
The keeper stuffed the feeds in my hands while Cayden-boy looked on in amusement when the mallards pecked my hands for food. Only upon closer inspections did I realize...

Worms were part of the mallard's diet
The big black swan only swam towards the keeper
After getting the valuable shots with the stars of the show, it was finally breakfast time!
We strolled around the bird park after the breakfast. It had been more than 10 years since I last visited the Bird Park. It had changed so much that nothing in my memory matched what I saw..

Cayden-boy recognized and said "ba....nana"!
Cayden-boy, the elite bird keeper!
Relating "flamingo" from books to life-sized statue
I asked, "Moo...... says the.. ?" and Cayden-boy replied, "Coou!"
After playing tourists, we took a rest at the restaurant. Mama answered some calls and so did Cayden-boy... with the table number! What an imagination the lil one had!

"Halo..  halo... "
Cayden-boy loved hitting the drum
Cayden-boy looked out of the restaurant and I seized the opportunity to grab myself a new wallpaper
We only lingered around the entrance of the Bird Park and it was already a very fulfilling morning for us! It was much more enjoyable than what I had imagined prior to the trip. Costly breakfast aside which were better meant for tourists, the breakfast show was educational and interesting for both adults and kids!
