A shark or a whale?

Mama took out a new shirt for Cayden-boi after bathing him one evening.

He stole a glance at the shirt next to him and exclaimed "Shark!"

"No." Mama corrected him, "It's a whale...."

"Shark!" came an indignant reply.

"Whale~" Mama replied again patiently.

"Shark! Shark! Shark!"

"Whale. Whale.. Whale!"

"Shark!" 

"Whale!" 

"Shark!"

"Whale!"

And this went on for a few minutes before Papa came in to see what the commotion was all about.

Cayden-boi eventually said "Whale" after both of us corrected him umpteen times. Hehe... 1-0, Mama won. (^__________^)V

When you can't use the dustbin...

Cayden-boi loves to see things disappear into the dustbin. He will purposely draw a piece of tissue paper, pretend to wipe his mouth/hand/table/floor, crumple it into a ball and happily trot off to find a dustBIN. It's therapeutic, Mama guesses.

After a diaper change one fine morning, Mama passed the soiled diaper to Cayden-boi instructing him to "throw into the dustbin". Cayden-boi held the diaper using both hands with glee and ran out of the room. He took slightly longer than what Mama had expected and was about to follow him into the kitchen when he appeared and demanded to watch bideo!

Mama left him with Papa so that she can start her laundry washing. And she saw this.

She later realized that Cayden-boi was unable to "operate" the pedal-bin. Frustrations aside, he made the decision to leave the soiled diaper in the next best location - the open laundry bag next to the dustbin.

Monkey likes puffs

Overheard this conversation in the car...

Cayden-boi: Monkey, you want?

*offered a baby puff and brought it to Monkey's mouth*

"Monkey": Uhm! Nice!

Cayden-boi: ha ha ha ha!

*covered mouth and giggled*

Change side?

*Scenario - In the car after picking up Cayden-boi from PoPo's house, and on the way for dinner straight after work. Did not have time for a "pump-of-the-day", so latched Cayden-boi immediately after he got in the car.*

Mama (after Cayden-boi had quite emptied 1 side): Cayden, change side.

Cayden-boi (sitting up with bewildered eyes): Sure?? Change side???

Mama: ... ... ... =.=" 

Ok, at least Mama knows now that all the chiding and constant nagging on "Big boys dun latch anymore", "Drink milk AGAIN?", "why you keep changing sides!?" gets inside his head after all.

Even with that nonchalant look he gives all the time, HE KNOWS....

Underwater world Sentosa!

Finally.. an update for March!
Haha.. I had a long break this time..

Okay, here's an update of our visit to the underwater world at Sentosa!
Mama quickly gave Cayden-boy a quick measurement as a few centimeters on the chart could mean extra ticket payable. Hehe.. Cayden- boy was still in the "free" zone.

Upon reaching Sentosa, we took an internal shuttle bus to our destination, the Underwater world!

Once inside the aquarium, Cayden-boy beams with excitement when he saw the gigantic fish tanks with multi-vibrant colored fish species swimming in front of him. Mama and I began to play teacher and guide Cayden-boy around the new playground for the day.

We had plenty of shots but most were not usable due to the poor lightning conditions in the aquarium. Really regretted not buying the flash before this trip.

Out of the aquarium, was the outdoor dolphin lagoon!

Mama managed to catch a glimpse of the dolphins with a 50mm prime lens with perfect timing!

We headed straight to the gift shop after the short dolphin displays. Mama found some interesting hats for Cayden-boy... Putting on the hats was no easy tasks.. We had to convince Cayden-boy by saying .. "Waaaa... handsome... " with an exaggerating expression.

The shark sculpture at the exit caught our attention and since its not sheltered and especially when there is a barricade surrounding it, its got to be me to go under the sun and break the law by going over the barricade...

Next, I ordered some ice cold desserts to cool ourselves down.

Nothing beats an ice kachang in a hot afternoon!

While we were enjoying the ice kachang, we notice crowds forming across the road. We raced towards the scene and found the center of attractions - peacocks! mama jumped into position with Cayden-boy while I snapped happily at the rare occasion.

Out expedition at the underwater world ended in the evening and Mama was still energetic as ever and wanted to have a stroll along at RWS (Resort World Sentosa). To keep myself alive, I get myself a cup of sugar free ice mocha and to my surprise, Cayden-boy loves it too! I am proud to say.. "like father like son"! haha!

A shot that must not be missed marked the end of the long wonderful day for us!

It was indeed a tiring, but fruitful day for all of us. We finally set foot and paid expensive entrance fees to the underwater world after a few weeks of planning.

Be creative - get In the Box

We've always heard of the phrase - to be creative, think out of the box.

Cayden-boi felt otherwise. 

Before you can think out of the box, you gotta be In The Box!

The guard at the Singapore Arts Museum (nope, we didn't go there for arts appreciation) was pretty amused coz I guess our little antic spiced up what would have been a boring day's work for him. He kept sneaking glances at what we were doing and finally could not resist taking out his hp to snap a few pics of Cayden-boi. Haha...

Hmm.. Mama was so tempted to slot in 2 gold coins, pulled the key, and go for a cuppa..

We spent a good 30 mins entertaining ourselves with baby getting in and out of the locker. Who says the museum is a boring place? You just gotta be creative! : )

Wonder if we'll be sued for "ill-treating" the lil one? But hey, this is not as bad as those Chinese acrobats folding themselves into tiny boxes right!? :p

West Coast Park

We wanted Cayden-boy to mix with more people and enjoy himself at the playground. One of the best place to achieve that with free parking is the West Coast Park.

Cayden-boy didn't really succeed in getting any hot cakes with his fork. After several tries, he decided that it's much more convenient and easier to use his hands instead!

Cayden-boy hated to set his feet on the sand when we brought him to the beach some time ago. He would yell and shrunk his feet away from the sand.

We tried letting Cayden-boy to mix and play with other kids, but it seemed that Cayden-boy was still not ready. He stood helplessly at the playground and searched around for us instead...

For now, we shall treasure these moments and shower our love for Cayden-boy. There is no hurry to get too independent anyway, isn't it ?
