The Terminator

I do hope Cayden boi did not inherit the messy/disorganized traits from his Papa & Mama.

He loves loves loves messing things up and then scurries off to find his next target. Once he sees that you've picked up after him and had everything arranged properly, sweet and nice, the rascal will come back gleefully, ready for more actions!

Before - cards stacked nicely in a pile and all cut-out animals in their respective slots

In progress...

After - messed up cards, cut-out animals all over

He ain't heavy, he's my Gonggong

Cayden boi's all-time-favourite-person now got to be his Gonggong.

His face practically brightens up (if you connect a bulb and some wires, you'd have seen the bulb lights up. Yeah, just kidding but you know what i mean) and squeals and starts to wriggle free from whoever is carrying him (even from his once I-only-want-you-to-carry-&-nobody-nobody-but-you Mama. sobs... ). He'll crawl very fast towards Gonggong and then DEMANDS to be hugged by pulling and tugging Gg's shorts.

On one hand, Mama is glad to see that the 2 hit on so well. It means there is no separation anxiety or whatnots and she can be sure Cayden boi is in good hands. Every morning Gg will scrutinize Cayden boi from head to toe, left to right, front to back and Mama usually will confess first the reasons for that obvious scratch on his face/ear/hand/leg but.... but... that little-tiny-weeny red bump on the heel!? That 10-cent red patch on his head well hidden (obviously not well enough) underneath the hair!!?? The missing trinket on his anklet!!!??? Gees... Mama's so ashamed to proclaim she's the Mama...

Gonggong and grandson watching... women on tv
Gonggong you wanna hide in there? I'll come join you! (and did so subsequently)

On the other hand, Mama is worried that once she stops being the sole milk supplier to Cayden boi, she is no longer of "any value" and will be the #4th favourite person after Papa & Porpor coz
1)Papa gives sweets when Mama's not watching
2)Papa allows "water theraphy" whenever Cayden boi wails
3)Papa will not say "No Cayden boi! beat beat ah~"
4)Porpor feeds milk milk too

After sacrificing her much needed beauty sleep and getting saggy breasts and that lump of Xtra flesh that jiggles with each step taken, if Cayden boi ever tells her "don't want Mama, want Ducky", Mama will go stab herself with a fork.

14th month resolution

On the day I turned 14th months old, I made a resolution.

See that bump up there?

I'm determined to make it into a six-pack. It's never too early to start training you know. ;p

A day in my life...

On a lazy hot afternoon like today, I'm tired of doing the usuals like reading a book out loud to PorPor....

Or practicing with my drawings....

And even biting learning the alphabets doesn't appeal to me...

In fact, I fussed so much that Mama decided to let me do the thing that I love love love most...

Heeheehee... play with water loh, what else? :)

Messy affair with shoes

I tried putting on my shoes by myself today after Porpor had taught me a few times. It seems easy enough.

You just have to sit back comfortably on a chair and try forcing slotting the foot in.

And this is what happen for trying....I got entangled!!!

Somebody HELP!!!

I've got a pair of "kar" + 2 "cars"

Although COE prices rocket sky high nowadays, I can still afford to own 2 "cars"!

Papa got me a Bobby Car for my birthday, but that's a "manual" mode one.

I've got another "auto" mode car from Mama and I'm soooooo loving it!

Now after you are done with the photo-taking Mama, come back here to push me okie!? :D

Baskets...nope, I'm not scolding you

A very sturdy basket that had withstood the test of time

The basket on the left was from a tricycle that Mama got for her 2nd birthday. Porpor thought it's such a pity to throw away then and had kept it till now for her laundry pegs.

Mama's already thinking of the possible uses for Cayden boi's tricycle basket. An egg container? Papa's socks container? A foot-stool when inverted? Or perhaps... she'll use it to contain laundry pegs as well. :)

DUCK! (not)

Out of his limited vocabulary, Cayden boi loves to exclaim the word "DUCK!" most to practically everything that interests him in those high-pitched-babyish-squeals of his.

Some of the things that were code-named "DUCK!":

Cayden boi points to this frog picture on his tricycle seat and shouts "DUCK!" happily before mounting on

Hello DUCKY!?

Cayden boi can point to the Micky plush toy accurately when asked... followed by "DUCK!"

*Sigh* Poor BIL's dog had an identiy crisis too. Not matter how many times Cayden boi is corrected, this DOG is still "DUCK! DUCK! DUCK!" to him

Yup, Mr Loyang Tua Pek Kong was not spared the "DUCK!" fate too :x

I spy and spy with my lil eyes....

Cayden boi stared intensely at this picture for 5secs before declaring, "Woo-woo-wooooo...~!"

I looked at his beaming face and was trying to figure out what he was doing / saying. And I realized.... Cayden boi meant this!

Hahaha..! What an imagination the lil one has! :)

Huh!? My baby's walking already?

Cayden boi has been cruising for a couple of weeks already. While other babies are already running (!!), he's still not able to stand independently and very much prefer to crawl, which he can do VERY well. Papa has been very patient to hold his hands and train him to walk (properly), as in with both feet touching the ground and NOT tiptoeing.

Last Saturday at 13mths and 2 weeks old, Cayden boi suddenly took 3 steps on his own as he shifted from the tv console to the bedroom door at Yeye-Nainai's house much to my astonishment! It happened so fast that I'd have thought I had imagined it if Yeye didn't happen to witness it as well.

Since then, he has been taking 2 small wobbly steps here and there and I was there always to cheer and clap like he had won a 100m sprint!

Hmm.. wonder how much longer it'll take for Cayden boi to be running leh? In gusto I hope and spare us the backaches from carrying! :)

Onderful gatherings!

Mama has been actively involved in her motherhood forum. She would get good recommendations and ideas from fellow mothers and once in awhile would meet up for gathering sessions.

This time, a gathering was intended for all the babies borned in August 2009! I only realised that mama had made some arrangements as Cayden-boy was wearing the "Onederful Shirt" like all other babies were wearing..

Cayden-boy was smiling happily with mama

Mama and Cayden-boy posed for a pic before heading for the party

We were one of the last few to arrive at the party..

The host actually prepared a "fenced up playground" for all the babies. I was hoping to grab some food while keeping an eye on Cayden-boy as he playes in the "playground". However, I think as there were insufficient toys or stuffs to keep the babies entertained.. Cayden-boy would not stay for more than a couple of minutes and wanted out of the "jail".

Cayden-boy finished his games within minutes...

Cayden-boy poping up his head to look for mama..

Cayden-boy crawled into the princess's room and starts playing her toys instead.. Mama had a tough time placing the toys and decor back while Cayden-boy continues his rampage.

Cayden-boy grabs the push N go cart and off.... he goes.

Mama and I had to follow him closely as Cayden-boy's steps aren't firm yet. There we are, going on a wild goose chase.  Cayden-boy simply enjoys himslef so much that he didn't want to give us any breaks.. It's really a work out exercise for both of us!

While the party comes to an end, the host calls for a group photo talking session..

Fathers group photo

Mothers group photo

It is not an easy task to gather so many families together, to get to know one another, exchange valuable pointers and most importantly, the babies had a chance to mix around and be comfortable with strangers too!

I certainly hope that Cayden-boy had enjoyed this Onederful party!

NTUC Income Kite Day!

Since kampong days, one of my favourite past time was to fly kites. Mama knew this and suggested us to attend Ntuc Income's Kite festival singapore!

Mama and I often went Seng Kang's open field for some kite flying sessions way before cayden-boy was borned. Mama's effortlessly puts the kite into the sky with Cayden-boy still resting inside her at the 30th weeks!

My beloved Sting Ray..

Unfortunately, I broke the spine of the giant Sting ray.. Now it tends to sway towards the right and sinks after it hit a certain height.. It's really a pity. Anyway, now that we have cayden-boy, we shall be patient and impart our kiting skills to him when he grows up a little more!

A stylish mama will have a stylish kid. Don't you agree?! Haha.

Siang Li took a family photo for us!

Cayden-boy's belated birthday gift

Unknowingly, I have been idle for more than a month! All is not lost. I have been keeping track at the pics that I have in the back of my memory card.

Apart from cayden-boy's birthday party, I think I still owe cayden-boy a birthday present... I had been googling in search for a ride on-toy. However, those that I found in Toy R Us are too small or cheapo types. Hunting around kiddy palace is also unfruitful.

Went taobao and finally found somthing to likings! It's a ride on from BIG, a ride on car imported from Germany.

Aiming at Bobby's car from taobao webby...

Did some calculations and figured that the agent fees + transportation fees will easy add to SG$200. All my efforts paid off when I found someone selling in Singapore... In my mind, I knew Cayden-boy would definitely like it.

Cayden-boy reading his book (up side down) in the car, while on the way to purchase the bobby car!

When I was checking the goods, Cayden-boy would not want to wait and insisted to sitting on the bobby car. His excitements really make me feel that it's worth the pains to get this birthday present for him!

Cayden-boy hopping into his new toy. Looks a bit differnt from the tao bao pics?

The smirk look on cayden-boy's face is priceless!

After the Cayden-boy had his fun, mama bring Cayden-boy for a bathe and followed by a short nap. chanced upon this opportunity (nowadays, we have to grab every chances to do our stuffs...), and pasted the stickers on the Bobby car. It is definitlely involves lots of skill and patience to do a decent job..

Tada! Completion of the bobby car after 30 minutes efforts..
Seems easy? Buy one Bobby car for your kid and try out yourself! Its definitely worth the money!
