Pick=Pic=?

One evening just before Cayden-boi's naptime, Papa put him on his highchair and started him on his daily routine of flashcards.

Cayden-boi started to get bored after all his favourite picture cards were flashed and began swinging his left leg to and fro as Papa rattled on...

"Come, go, sing, talk, eat, drink, pick, push, pull..."

"PIC!" Cayden-boi beamed excitedly and pointed to the far corner.

Huh!? Papa and Mama looked at each other in bewilderment as Cayden-boi repeated himself, "PIC PIC PIC!!!"

Following where his pudgy finger was pointing... Oh, although Papa didn't mean Pig when he flashed Pick card... at least we knew Cayden-boi was paying attention after all... \(o.O)/

The pick/pic/pig that hasn't been removed after Cayden-boi's 1st year party

Playground

It was a lazy morning. Decided not to venture too far to look for breakfast. Looked out the window and the weather is cool and it seems that the sun's anguish is hidden by the clouds.

It's the perfect timing at the playground!

Cayden-boy knew what he wants and rushed to the "horse" the moment we put him down. He pointed to it and says "抱~"

Cayden-boy tries rocking the horse
Cayden-boy getting down the seat on his own!
Mama brought bubbles for Cayden-boy!
Cayden-boy chasing after the bubbles

Cayden-boy walks towards mama, wanting more bubbles~
Cayden-boy tries the slide by himself.
Cayden-boy wanted a few more ties, attempts to climb the slide upwards..
Mama teaches Cayden-boy how to use the monkey bar..
Cayden-boy picks up a leaf and tries poking into the nut-hole solemnly..
Mama gives Cayden-boy a big hug and a kiss from her to him.
It is fun at the playground. It touches my heart seeing Cayden-boy walking bigger steps each time. I am still having difficulties letting go of my hands totally.. I guess, i need more time...

Jacob Ballas

Mama had been wanting to visit Jacob Ballas as it was raining for the previous trip. we didn't took much pics and had to leave. Cayden-boy was also a little too young to walk then..

Time really flies and Cayden-boy is now "flying".

Cayden-boy entering the beautiful garden

Cayden-boy wants more and more! Ran up the tree house a couple of times just to play the slide
Mama tries taking an artistic shot of us at the wet playground
Cayden-boy is normally very sensitive to water creeping down his face.. I wonder what changed his mindset.
Worried dad holding onto Cayden-boy wherever possible.. Mama complains about me spoiling her photography composition..
Learnt to let go of my hands..

Cayden-boy trying to stop water from gushing out..
Cayden-boy is still enjoying the water when his pampers weigh a kilo..
Mama gave the tired boy a hug in the small hut
Cayden-boy posing with grandma in the garden
Cayden-boy gave up crossing the "wobbly road" and wanted mama to carry
Cayden-boy giving a smirk look when he catches me hiding below the bridge
Cayden-boy enjoys some passion fruit ice-cream while i drank my coke.
For now, Cayden-boy might only be interested in the wet playground and the slide. I certainly hope that Cayden-boy will appreciate the crops, plants, and nature surroundings the next time we visit the garden!

A day at the beach

After the visit to Sitex 2010 IT fair at expo, we headed to the hawker center located right beside the beach for lunch. Yes, the next program for Cayden-boy is the sun, sand and water at east coast park!

Mama brings Cayden-boy for a short stroll along the beach. Cayden-boy smiles with thrill and confidence.

Cayden-boy looks with curiosity as the waves hit the shore
Cayden-boy can't wait to get into the waters
Mama quickly removes Cayden-boy's shoes and pants
Something doesn't seem right...
"Whats that prickling sensation down my feet..?"
"Ar..!! The sand on my feet erodes as the waves recede"
"Mama! Mama! Get me out of here!"
Tried putting Cayden-boy's legs into the water and he's happy!
Try the sand again..
Sand's stick to Cayden-boy's feet and he hated it...
Cayden-boy signals an end with the sand..
Cayden-boy grins again after all the sand was washed away.
Cayden-boy and grandma looks far into the beach, enjoying the scenery
My simple experiment shows that Cayden-boy loves the sun and the water. He is just not used to the coarse texture of the sand...yet. Back to the same old phrase, we shall return and conquer the beach! Who knows, Cayden-boy might be wooing some girls along the beach next time.. Haha!
